Uma Velvet Maxi Dress

I purchased the Uma Velvet Maxi Dress in Clove/Amber Floral on September 7, 2026. The first time I wore it yesterday, all I did was sit down and stand up, and the seams ripped on both sides near the underarms. I wasn't doing anything that should strain a garment.

The fabric is thin and the construction feels like fast fashion, something I'd expect from Forever 21, not at this price point. I've purchased many dresses over the years, and this one was a real letdown.

Sizing warning: The bust runs very small. This dress is only really wearable for women with a small bust. If you have a medium or larger bust, you'll need to size up, or the seams may not hold.

The 14-day return window is also very short, which makes it hard to catch defects like this before it's too late. All I wanted was to exchange for the same dress, but customer service was not helpful. The responses were generic and felt AI-generated, and my specific issue was not addressed.

I love the print, it's gorgeous, but if it can't hold up for one day, that's a real letdown.

I absolutely loved this Baltic Born dress! I wore it to my son’s wedding and felt beautiful, confident, and comfortable all night long. The color, floral print, and wrap style were gorgeous, and I received so many compliments! It photographed beautifully and was comfortable enough for celebrating and dancing all night.

For reference, I’m 5’2”, 170 lbs and wore a size Large. My only complaint is that the dress doesn’t come in petite sizing. Because of my height, I had to spend an additional $70 on alterations to get the length right.

Other than needing alterations, I couldn’t have been happier with this dress. It made me feel elegant, feminine, and confident on such an important day. 💕✨
